ABOUT
Sports has always been more than a pastime for me. It's been a passion, a lifestyle, a network, and world unto itself. In many ways, sports has been a career for me. I've played soccer as a kid, through school and college, and have even spent time with professional and semi-professional teams.
Beyond playing, my experience as a fan begins earlier than most other memories. I remember being in kindergarten, out in my driveway playing basketball in then Indiana Pacer Jermaine O'Neal's #7 jersey. Throughout elementary and middle school I would log onto NBA.com and print off the reports of the previous night's action. Then I'd rush into the kitchen to update my parents on all the stats. I still remember my Dad's reaction when I told him Kobe scored 81.

Now as an avid Colts, Pacers, Chelsea, USA and Michigan fan, you can find me carving out time in my schedule for games. It's often required I carve out time to grieve too. I'm still not over the U.S. failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. Or Michigan's loss to UCLA this year.

Anyway, what I'm getting at here is that as both a player and a fan, sports has been an integral thread in the tapestry of my life. And what I've come to realize over the years is that behind every team, league, game, athlete, and fan, is a story. Those little nuggets and "Oh that's neat" moments and narratives. So this blog is my attempt at combining two things I love: writing and sports stories.
